We start with what brings you to therapy, not with a predetermined explanation.

01
Understanding what happens and when

In the first few sessions, we'll talk about what's worrying you, how it's affecting your life, and what you'd like to work on. We can observe what happens before, during, and after a difficult situation: what you think, what you feel, and how you respond.

You don't need to come with a label or have your whole story all figured out. You can share whatever you feel comfortable with and ask your questions.

02
Give space to your story without losing sight of the present

When relevant, we explore experiences and relationships that can help understand some of your current responses. This doesn't guarantee the other person's response; we work on what's within your control and how to protect yourself in the face of it.

We agree on the goals and review how the process is going for you.
