You find it hard to start the day or to sustain tasks that were previously more manageable.

Online therapy for depression
There are days when the everyday weighs more than you can explain.
Book a sessionDo you feel like life is too heavy?
Getting up, answering a message, or making plans can feel like a struggle. You might still be doing what's necessary, but you feel disconnected from what you used to enjoy. You don't have to hide it here.
We can start with how you're feeling today, without requiring you to find an explanation. I offer individual therapy for adults online, in Spanish or English.
Perhaps this is happening to you.
You've lost interest in plans, activities, or relationships that used to matter to you.
You isolate yourself because you don't have the energy to explain how you are.
You speak harshly to yourself, feel guilty, or think you should be able to handle everything.
You notice sadness, irritability, or a feeling of emptiness that affects your daily life.
This list is not a diagnosis. Sadness, exhaustion, and depression are not the same. We will assess your experience and any contributing health factors.
It's not a matter of putting in more effort on your part
Perhaps you feel that life is too heavy or that you are disconnected from yourself and others. There is space to talk about that without fear.
Depression is not explained by a lack of willpower. It can affect mood, energy, thinking, and relationships. Social, psychological, and biological factors can all play a role; there is no single story that explains everyone's experience.
Therapy isn't about demanding that you be okay or that you see the bright side. It's about understanding what you need and agreeing on a plan that takes into account how you are today.
How we will work in therapy
I am Beatriz Cabrillo Cachafeiro, a licensed clinical psychologist. I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Attachment Theory, with an individual assessment of your needs.
Listen to what you are experiencing
We begin by listening to you: how you are, what has changed, and what you find most difficult. We assess your support systems, your safety, and whether you need medical attention or other resources.
Look for steps that are feasible
We look for activities and routines that make sense to you and that you can gradually resume, without making them another obligation. We start from where you are now, not from where you think you should be.
Review your relationship with yourself and with others
There's room for guilt, self-criticism, or the desire to isolate yourself. Also for the losses and changes you're experiencing. We explore what matters in your situation, without looking for a single cause.
Adjust the accompaniment
We'll check in on how you're doing and how the process is helping you. If you need any additional resources or support, we'll discuss it. There's no guaranteed recovery timeframe.
Is this space for you?
For adults experiencing low mood, loss of interest, or a diagnosis of depression who are seeking individual psychological support. You don't need to be at your worst to seek help. The initial assessment will help you decide if this service is right for you.

Before booking, you might wonder
Do I need to know if I have depression?
No. You can talk about what's happening to you without coming across a label. Assessment helps distinguish what needs attention and how to address it.
What if I barely have the energy to speak?
You can say so from the beginning. You don't need to tell your whole story at once or prove that you're making enough of an effort. We'll also assess what kind of support you might need at that time.
Can I have therapy if I'm taking antidepressants?
We can assess the need for psychological support alongside the prescribed treatment. Any changes to medication are the responsibility of the prescribing professional. If coordination is necessary, it will be discussed with you and with your consent.
What should I do if I have thoughts of harming myself?
Seek professional help as soon as possible and tell someone you trust. If there is immediate danger, you have started to hurt yourself, or you cannot keep yourself safe, contact your local emergency services or go to the emergency room.
This consultation and its form do not offer crisis support; do not expect a response through this channel to request urgent help.
Let's start with how you are today
You don't need to have the whole path figured out. You can book a session to talk about what you're going through and assess the appropriate support.
